Join us on May 22 & 23 at the Vankleek Hill May Show Festival. Comic book industry veteran Dale Eaglesham, 2008 winner of the Shuster Award for Outstanding Canadian Comic Book Artist of the year, will be appearing once again to raise funds for Refuge RR for Horses.

When Dale visited the Refuge he said he was blown away by the compassion shown towards the animals that have been abandoned or abused. In a society that can be so cruel once animals have outlived their usefulness, especially with farm stock and horses, this is a vital refuge for the most vulnerable among us. This is why he has selected once again Refuge RR as the organization of choice for his yearly fundraising event.

The renowned Marvel artist will be doing sketches in exchange for donations, with the size and complexity of the drawings matching that of the donation. Fans wishing to get a sketch should arrive early, as the request list always fills very quickly.Attendees will also have an opportunity to acquire comic books in exchange for donations. Non-Eaglesham books will be approximately one-third of the U.S. cover price, while autographed Dale Eaglesham comics will be priced higher.

While the May Show Festival is a three-day event, Eaglesham will be in attendance only on May 22 and May 23 , from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. He will have a booth on Main Street, which is closed to traffic for the event. In case of rain , the show will be moved to the Vankleek Hill Community Centre at 36 Mill Street.
